Me too. Branch is my baby but he has made it hard on me to paint him in a good light with my mom. It is all his own fault. I think he likes to annoy her just for fun. He is for the most part a quiet rooster, she comes outside, he stares right at her and crows his fool head off. He bit her at 5 months old and left a mark, which she held a grudge over. She speaks to him, he growls at her. Do you know how hard it is for me to say he is a good boy when the idiot does that crap, and only towards her? I finally convinced her to work with him, hold him occasionally and maybe he would not hate her as much. I showed her his sweet spots where to rub or scratch to have him melt in your arms. It is working, although it was working slowly until Friday. If I can get her to fall in love with him I do not care if she calls him a jerk for the rest of his life.

This is my fifth attempt at coop integration with this bird. So far I haven’t heard anything furious, and no screaming either.

She was a mess in the morning. And all day, she acted so afraid.

Collected these two girls Saturday morning from a local breeder 21 and 22wks old. Both Orpingtons, the buff at the back I've named Penny and the jubilee is Bertha (my husband named her, her full name is Big Bertha ).

I have a Buff Orpington named Penny too!

I use rabbit feeders from tractor supply. they are bigger versions of the Match holders that RC has.

This one is at Petco but it is very similar.

This is what I got! Need 3, but got 1 to try, don't like the 'sifter' part because the really small pieces fall through, so lined the bottom with a thin sheet of cardboard (thanks @RoyalChick ). If it works okay, will get 2 more.

It’s just the coming of spring, she will settle down to normal in a couple months I’m sure… she’s also still pretty young (no offence the the Matriarchs Lilly and Hattie)

I certainly hope so. This is way out of character for her.

Amber did this and sometimes 2 a day it was worrying and I think it wore her little body out.

Can you try too keep her in the dark for longer somehow?

At this point I'm not going to intervene but I don't like it. Her body should know and I hope slow down soon.
