Got rid of a couple juvenile roosters this week to get back to a better ratio so now Itty Bitty can have her freedom without being harassed.

It's more my poor silkies that were harassed, the bigger gals and their stronger feathers could stand up to the Roo.

Yep, Itty Bitty my favorite silkie is super tiny. Got her with the naked neck hen and rooster cause he's super relaxed and also there's another silkie girl in the group. Itty Bitty is the only hen who likes to be picked up and carried ❤

Jaffar is still with us! After a long night of trying to get food and water (with electrolytes) in him, he started drinking last night, slept all night and crowed to wake me up. I think that he was saying “ There, I ate for you, drank for you, now take me back out to see my ladies!”

Why am I still concerned that it’s only a temporary energy boost?

I think these guys grieve and miss their companions as we do. Then that flea situation on top of that was bound to have an effect on him.
Given time and the love you always have given him will more than likely bring him back to normality

“Normality” ? Jaffar is one crazy little guy. I would settle for passive aggressive at this point.
