My sister took Jynx home with her last night as she finally has a few days off work to get her acclimated. She has called and messaged me repeatedly today as she thinks she hates it there as she will not come out from under the bed and hates her boyfriend. I miss that cat, she has had her for 8 years and besides my sister I was her next favorite person. It has taken everything in me to talk her through it and keep her from panicking. What I want to say is she is a horrible person for taking her from the only home she's ever known and bring her back. Jynx will be fine in time but if for some reason she has to come back home I'll welcome the demon with open arms.
You are a big softy 💖🤗

Family..... What can ya do, eh?

This is her 3rd time rearing chicks. She is a wonderful momma. Me and her have had 1 difference of opinion on where they sleep at night since they were 3 days old. She wants to sleep with them in the corner of Russ's stall where his hay gets tossed. Nightly I remove them and put them in the run. Last night she changed it up. Since I will not let them sleep there she had them on the top board separating Louis and Russ's stalls. 1 chick under each wing. Nope, not there either back in the run you 3 go. Now if she will put them on the actual roost with her, then they can stay.
She's clever 🤗

Did the water feel good?
The one thing I love about my barn is that it's fairly cool even when it's in the 90s...

Ony when it's very humid with no breeze is it miserable in there, then I crank up the fans in the stalls!

The hen house though gets the evening sun as it's on the north west corner, and this time of the year the sun is high in the latitude meaning it sets way in the north west sky and doesn't go down till 10.... I need to get some awnings in that West window and a better fan, one that doesn't create a hurricane hahaha.
