Big To Dos at Fluffy Butt Acres

I can't believe that everyone accepted my explanation for the refurb of the prefab. It did come out wonderfully (if I do say so myself).

Look closely at where it is placed.

It is in the corner behind the magnolia tree. That is so I can use it as........

A QUARANTINE COOP!

While I cannot create a full 30 foot quarantine environment, I can isolate new chickens and fence off my tribe from them.

So BY Bob, if you are setting up a quarantine coop you must be anticipating new chickens.

Why yes I am. They arrived today.

Everyone meet the newest residents of Fluffy Butt Acres. None of them have names yet.

This young lady is a Jubilee Orpington. Hopefully he and Hattie will have some adventures together.

This young lady is a Buff Laced Polish (and already Mrs BY Bob's favorite).

And our final new member is white!

She already is displaying signs of leadership and is a Frost Legbar!

Here are all three starting to move about their new home.

Obviously tons of more photos and videos to come!
Oh my goodness, new girls! :wee What prompted this decision or am I going to have to owe SHRA tax?

I let Jaffar stay inside for a while. He was watching over Xzit, but she started getting nervous after a short time. So he’s outside now chasing his other ladies. (Even in the heat of the day) it’s 94f
Wow that's warm

Was that here yesterday and today, and very humid. The poor chickies are not good with this sudden change.

I was mentioning to GregnLety that I see a portable AC unit on Kijiji I might look at. Right now I have a fan on for them

Oh you're so sneaky! I am so delighted for you! Wow, just wow 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

And yes the coop turned out beautifully 💖

Oh you are all such terrible enablers. I have a massive poison ivy issue all around the barn. Frankly a herd of goats could grow fat on poison ivy alone!
But I do NOT need goats. I do not need floppy eared goats!
Yes
You
Do!!!

Now take some pics of them so I can live vicariously through you 🤗

I don't have chickens.....

I have monkeys

That darn Buttercup, she chases Dorothy and Rose around the hen house at bed time, looks like poor Curly has been knocked off her perch. Now I am worried about were she is.

This is why I don't like the silkies roosting on the high roost. Time to cut them down to a couple feet rather than 4 feet.

And its not like they are cramped in there , there is lots of room. But Buttercup has to be a pest, bed time drama.

I see Rose took refuge with Penelope. Meanwhile Dorothy has her roost all to herself.

Henny Penny is holding Buttercup at bay and Fluffy is holding up the wall 😆
