I have counted these bowties several times. It appears the count is 10. She gets 5 in the first 1/3 of the video and I thought it was close to 13 but slowing it down, it seems to be 10.

Cleaning House

I caught someone in the nesting boxes yesterday cleaning house and making things how SHE likes a nest. It shouldn't be long now! So exciting!

Foodie Friday

I have been saving this one. I created another feeding frenzy earlier this week. I took mini bowtie pasta down into the yard and sat down in the grass with them. My wife took the video. I apologize for the auto-focus issues.

Here is my challenge to everyone. Count how many bowties Maleficent gets. There is a stretch where she gets almost all of them. She is last in the pecking order but is so fast and aggressive no one can stop her. She's like black lightning as she zips through robbing the other hens. It is amazing. Not only that, her and Hattie swallow them whole!

I am very interested in your counts. I get a different number every time. Enjoy!

That is so sweet! It looks as though she was enjoying it a bit as I’m sure it was a relief from all this heat! I can’t believe I’m saying this.. but I AND my gals would love some rain! It hasn’t rained in quite some time which is unusual as we live in the rain forest normally

Awe I love house chickens!! Abigail would often come into the house and rest for a while. Then come evening she would want out and returned to the coop with the rest of the flock.

You are most welcome to join the flock. I was stunned when I saw in my notifications that someone had liked 67 of my posts at one time and then I realized that you were reading through all the posts. I am glad you enjoyed them. I feel flattered. I know I have looked at some long threads and thought that is too much to catch up with. Thanks for plowing g through!
