Aawww, on my anniversary! 29 years yesterday!

Wow congrats!!

Are those the twins? And are they foster babies?

Yes ma'am my boys, theyre not foster though, theyre technically my step children. However ive been there since day 1 and had them full time for most of their lives.

So, I have a question for those of you who care to answer. Would you still keep chickens if hens didn't lay eggs?
I got asked this by one the chicken keepers here where I live.
I never bought chickens because I wanted eggs, I brought home chickens cuz I've always loved and had many varieties of birds, and I wanted fertilizer for my garden. We grow all our own food, and face it, it's easier to clean up chick poo than cow poo! Lol. And even if I didn't get that badly needed fertilizer for my crops, I'd still have chickens for their company and love!

Thanks for bringing this post to my attention @dirkandlorie

I missed this question on my holiday hiatus. Id like to tell you Yes i would! Maybe not many But i would still enjoy a few as pets. I keep cats and dogs so whats the difference? Theyd still eat the bugs and decorate my yard :love

I dont even eat chickens eggs personally :gig only quails eggs

Finally we got the door on so I now have access to the Chicken Palace run and can hang out with the Princesses. I managed to pull a small chair in there so I could sit comfortably and chat. But first thing I brought them some fresh leaves from the heap outside. There seemed to be a lot of general chicken-y yummy-ness in there.
Diana enjoyed the big branch I dragged in - my plan is to fix it high up using some shelf brackets so she can really admire the view. She flies quite well and likes to be up high surveying the scene.

Elizabeth was more interested in hanging out on the heap of leaves in case there were creepy crawlies to be had.

Here are (a nice skinny) me (before baby weight) and my boys who are not biologically mine.View attachment 2016970

While looking i found all these pics of why we had to take them and got mad all over again :rant this bottle has measured bottled water in it ready to add formula and feed baby :rant there were many of these instances and many other contributing factors.

Used a spoiler in case anyone annoyed w the baby talk or just doesnt want to see my documentation of neglect.
Awww... this is so cute!

Eve had open heart surgery is September to close a hole in her heart. She was in a bad way and was not growing. Since then her recovery has been spectacular.
Bob, was it patent foramen ovale? Glad it was repaired. My brother had patent foramen ovale and ended up having a stroke when he was 40.
