Most of my girls are moulting at the moment Shad and not laying eggs. The only one I'm getting eggs from at the moment is Alice who hasn't started her moult yet. That suggests a link between moulting and egg laying to me. Of course it's not a very big sample size

Have there been any actual studies linking moulting and going off the lay?

Mine also do not lay when molting. Molting always preceeds winter here which becomes a long time with no eggs.

Is Sansa Laying?

We were away Sunday and Monday. I think Sansa may have started laying. I can't really make the egg math work otherwise unless Lilly laid two days in a row. Here is the take from Tuesday morning.

Notice that once again the ceramic eggs have been evicted from the nesting boxes.

It’s cool cuz if I put my fingers up to yours on the pic they are just about the same size... so I can really see the tiny egg
