The Iridescence of Black Hens

We had awful thunderstorms last night but they left us a gorgeous morning. The girls have been running all over the yard trying to get all the worms and insects disturbed by the storms.

Every once in a while they pass through a shaft of sunshine. I decided to try and grab some photos of the black ladies in sunlight. I love how their feathers gleam green and blue when the sun hits them. No one was standing still but here is what I got.

Nice! You captured the blue/green highlights as well as the purposeful strides of those busy girls.
