I'm not in favour of wing clipping. It doesn't really stop them but it does make their flight more awkward & them more vulnerable to predators. Some chickens are determined to have their freedom no matter the cost & no matter what you do to prevent them ~ short of keeping them locked up. I hope you find a solution that works for you both.

Don't you worry. Phyllis and I will figure this out. It was shocking but she is a good girl. We will reach an agreement. I certainly will be more vigilant. That will be a start.

Obstacle Course?

After yesterday's adventure I'm starting to wonder what else I could teach Phyllis to do. Perhaps I will build a little obstacle course. I always wanted to do that with Daisy, the greatest hen ever. It would be fun to work with her on something. Maybe keep her from getting bored and flying the fence.

Isn’t funny how they both did that the same day! And on Mother’s Day... naughty little girls!
And thank you... too bad they’re turning green.. Ima try and scrub em and see if that helps... and I was gonna add everyone else but decided to just leave those as they are the first flock... I think it would become too much as I keep adding
