A bad neighbor is the absolute worst.

To try and look at it from another point of view, she may not understand what she is doing. Maybe she has moved from the city and has no idea about animals at all.

Even with making allowances for ignorance, there are times I find the font of human kindness runs dry.

Generally I agree - but in this case the people also screwed up. What a mess.

They did indeed. It's just a colossal mess. In this instance it's ideology ruling over common sense.

Progress! The coop build was delayed and delayed because my order for the roofing from a big box store kept getting messed around with and never came. Finally I cancelled it when I found out a local company had it in stock! They delivered it the next day. That'll teach me to stick to local companies!

That's awesome! Way to stick it to the big boys .

It's their way. They still have to be roosters. This relieves pressure but not instinct. They have something to work out in their own way.

A peaceful moment in which I cleaned up the combs and wattles, got some vitamins down the recalcitrant pair and explained to Cillin that while he or Treacle might be okay dying from a heart attack I don't want to suffer the same fate digging their graves!

I found a rather odd egg from Edwina sitting below the perch this morning

Any idea what may have caused it? Her eggs are usually dark brown all over.

I’ve seen ISA eggs like that. Maybe less spray tan in the tank?
