STRAW!

I tried using the straw I purchased in desperation to clean out the coop on Monday. It was awful. It was so long I could only use it for the nests. With a complete sense of defeat I went back online yesterday and saw the Chopped Straw which I wanted or sale at TSC. I called the store and they had 8 bales available. By the time I got there they had 2!

My success.

You can see the difference between the nest boxes and the rest of the coop.

I have happy hens today. 😁
You should buy online and do instore pickup.. though I can't say how fast they pull those online orders..

It would be extremely helpful. How about a photo series in the book?
I have a few but single pictures are not as instructive as a well made video. All the silly things like how to hold the chicken if necessary, when to let go, how to keep him from paddling his other leg when your trying to apply the bandage etc, not to mention the sound effects.

The Teff hay I’ve got is very long, I’ve been taking to it with a pair of scissors.
I actually discussed doing ther same I was so frustrated. Luckily I finally sourced the good stuff.

It really felt weird writing that last sentence. My life now revolves around hay. How did this happen to me?

I've read the studies you provided Bob and tbh I don't really understand them. One would need considerable knowledge of the relevant fields appreciate how important the studies are and their relevance to their long term impact on viral immunology.
I kept having to dive into a dictionary and then onto the magazine Nature to find anything similar in the field that I might understand better.:D
My biology knowledge is pretty limited and my chemistry stopped pre university.

Waiting to see how the Amoxicillin works now. Thankfully it's too hot for him to do much in the way of stupid so the bandages are staying on, the dirt and flies are being kept out. I'm taking him back to see Gloria (vet) early next week. He's not limping but you can see at times that it's causing him some discomfort. It's at times like these I could do with a video camera so I could show how I clean and bandage. It might be helpful for others.

Yes. It would be great if we could see you do that. Oh well.

Hopefully, the amoxicillin helps.
