Sansa is not Herself

I have commented before that Sansa was stand-off-ish with me. Watching her interact with the whole flock yesterday tells me it is not just me.

I took the flock a great snack yesterday and split it into 2 bowls so that all could partake. Sadly Sansa was not herself. Normally she is a bully and pushes those below her around. This did not happen yesterday.

She will be getting a full check over. But I am wondering if being in close proximity to Aurora has resulted in a loss of confidence. You can see how quickly she reacts to get away from Aurora. Neither Sydney nor Phyllis react the same when Aurora intimidates them.

If anyone has any thoughts, I am interested.
It's not the reaction to intimidation I notice, it's that she really doesn't feel like eating a great snack. Even when the coast is totally clear, she inspects it and declines. It's something she's loved in the past, right?

These are my sponsored ads on fb now 😅🤔

I'm glad you were able to get yours. My grandpa got his 2nd shot today. I NEED mine, but it's not offered to me in Kentucky just yet because right now they are concentrating on those over 60. So I'm still avoiding people and going no where. I'm a type 1 diabetic and the flu or stomach virus puts me in the hospital in ICU every time with DKA so I'm terrified of what this virus would do to me.
You need to be very careful, masking, avoiding close contact with people, etc, regardless of your shot status for the foreseeable future I'm afraid. The variants are a huge problem.
Chicken tax tomorrow!

I love you Phyllis, but I think your wrong, we are in for longer then 2 weeks. My 3 wooly mammoth horses are still hanging on to every single hair on their winter coat. This time last year, i'd pet them and be covered.

The horses know! I could always go by the coat on my horses.

Seriously ladies, you choose to try out snow walking when you know I can’t get to you to chase off the foxes?
Fortunately scratch grain judiciously applied got them all in but not before Maggie went way out of my reach across the ice and snow.
You can see the results of today’s melt but it is very icy already and temperatures are plummeting. I have deployed the board walk for now but will have to take it up tomorrow before the snow starts. One day at a time. I am depending on you Phyllis!

Why today!? The warmth earlier?

Everyone all snuggled up for the night as the cold wind blows in from the West.
Those road-runners puff themselves up like crazy. Maggie can get a good puff on her too, but you can’t tell because she is completely smushed against the wall.
I wonder if Legbars are particularly cold-hardy given how much they can inflate?

It would appear the legbars certainly know what to do to try and stay warm. If nothing else. 😁

It is. It was very surprising to see her turn her beak up at it.
