Look at all this green stuff. So rich and lush. I can guess why she is over there. Bugs, clover, worms, grasshoppers, and tons of other good stuff.Hi, everyone. It’s spring break at the school district, so I took today off! It was great. Just now I took this chicken photo…

And realized everybody was there except for a Little Mill. Well, here she is…
Oops... I meant to reply directly to @RebeccaBoyd post.Haha! You’ve got quite the broody on your hands!
Such a beautiful flock you have. I hope you had a great day with them.Millie came home!
I feel honored. ☺I tried keeping up on all three threads, but just can’t manage. So I stay here, where J started on the social threads.
No one minds that you haven't read them all.
Wow Alex, so glad you found her! How good is Jaffar?!@LozzyR. This is nutz, but I heard my roo Jaffar screaming, and it seems the hen went down a rabbit hole and got stuck. Without Jaffar, I would never have found her. I dug her out, and am getting her washed up.I am so relieved!! My rooster is a true hero to me now! This is them together View attachment 2600972
Awwww!!! Best development ever!I have mentioned that I was adapting a coop for Cillin who has been living in my house for over a month now. It's not that he isn't welcome but in the long run he needs his own coop if he isn't going to be able to go back to the tribe coop because of his son Treacle.
I also mentioned that I thought it likely that Mel would move with Cillin given the opportunity.
I haven't even finished the coop and look who's making themselves at home.![]()

Because he is your friend and former roommate. How could you not?More or less finished Cillin's new home today. A bit to do on the ramp and maybe a nest box/area.
He's been living with me for what seems like ages. I know it's well over a month, getting on for two perhaps.
The coop is decent. Not too big for him and maybe one or two hens. It's far better for his health than being in the house. I'll get to sleep without ear plugs in. It had to happen at some point and I've given us time to get a new routine sorted.
His bumble foot is much much better; enough so that I'll take him to Gloria to get the last bits of core cleaned out.
Why am I sitting here missing him......
Best looking feather duster I've seen in a while.
