Wow! Some great names there, Bob, but no~one claimed any of them. I was hopeful Giddings or Coker might make the cut but I got some very odd looks indeed. I think MJ might have been along the right lines with Germanic names ~ not Wagnerian though. Thank you for the suggestions . I will keep them in mind as there's bound to be a *next time*.

I'm not done yet. I will get more.

Bringing bunnies is technically legal... (just like my goat!) however it is strongly discouraged. As in near-lynch mob discouraged. There are massive problems with them on Vancouver Island (a little less so after a recent bunny plague that wiped out tons of the population). I will admit to mentioning the questionable pet choice to a really obnoxious opinionated FB loudmouth in a PM, lol.

Some sad news on the Roostie front. Yesterday he got into a fuss with Sammy and his left eye appears injured. It must’ve happened while I was doing dishes and couldn’t hear it over the generator. I am moving him to a corner and fencing him in. I will keep everyone updated as I can.

Oh dear. I’m sorry. Poor Roostie.

More or less finished Cillin's new home today. A bit to do on the ramp and maybe a nest box/area.
He's been living with me for what seems like ages. I know it's well over a month, getting on for two perhaps.
The coop is decent. Not too big for him and maybe one or two hens. It's far better for his health than being in the house. I'll get to sleep without ear plugs in. It had to happen at some point and I've given us time to get a new routine sorted.
His bumble foot is much much better; enough so that I'll take him to Gloria to get the last bits of core cleaned out.

Why am I sitting here missing him......

Aawww... because you love him.

To everyone. I'm sorry for a couple of things one, I've been on a low and couldn't bring myself up enough to communicate. 2, I had to have a little read back to catch up a little so I'm late in saying hello and want to tell you all that I've missed everyone here you are all really lovely people.

I hope you will forgive my absence and my being rude by not saying hello first.

@LozzyR. This is nutz, but I heard my roo Jaffar screaming, and it seems the hen went down a rabbit hole and got stuck. Without Jaffar, I would never have found her. I dug her out, and am getting her washed up.I am so relieved!! My rooster is a true hero to me now! This is them together View attachment 2600972
