I really don't know and have just called the company again to check it will be ok. I wish they had sold the plain hemp. But I was told this is what they use for all their chickens.

I wonder if @featherhead007 would know

Using cedar chips as bedding is bad for them, this I know!

This was my thought on it's arrival. I only wanted to make them more comfortable.

Maybe I had best start a thread because others may need to understand more on this subject

Butter's 2nd egg hatched overnight and its another white/yellow chick. Like its sibling, no feathered legs. I'm up to 23 or 24 now, to be honest I've lost count with a few more pipped. I do know 3 will be staying to at least grow out. The 2 white ones and one of the blue ones that my sister has claimed and named Pepper. The first white chick she named Salt, now just need another name for the 2nd white chick.

Thought of Sugar but then immediately tossed that idea. When my daughter was little my grandmother insisted on giving her the nickname of Sugar. Which I hated, so to irritate me to this day she still sometimes calls her sugar. Rosie doesn't even like it. Will tell her if she has to have a nickname its "Rosie Posie" or Posie.

Good afternoon

I've just received my eucalyptus hemp and it has a very strong smell even coming from the box . I am really worried if this will be bad for them. Has anyone used this for their chickens?

That feels like a good idea to me. I'm not certain anyone here has any experience with it. I think we were all waiting to see how it went for you.
