Good job, you may very well have saved lives. Honestly at the moment I'd love to have you as a close neighbor even if you are retired. I'm about to be the "bad guy" in my neighborhood. A neighbor has let some friends move in with her temporarily and one of them has a 5 year old. He's running around unsupervised and when the so called "parent" is outside she's on her phone instead of watching him. Weather is wonderful here, horses got their feet done and Rosie is riding Russ daily. Several times this week I've had to tell him and has mother that he can not run up behind the horse while she's riding. It's not clicking and yesterday she was riding when out of the blue he darts around the house, and starts chasing her shooting a nerf gun at Russ's butt. Russ was a saint but I lost it and I think the entire subdivision heard me yell. His mother tried to blow it off saying a nerf gun wouldn't hurt the horse. A few choice words were used when I told her your right it wouldn't, but your going to get my daughter hurt if he threw her or her son killed if Russ kicked out at him. I'm beginning to think CPS is going to need to be brought in here as that is only the tip of the iceberg with what he's being allowed to do in the neighborhood.If anyone is wondering why I’m up so early, there was a party going on at 02:00pst getting out of hand. A mile away. Woke me up and I quickly needed to put a stop to it. So, the local Sheriff and myself ran a few drunken patrons away. (Like I said before) I’m retired from active duty, but still enforce the law around here. Two were detained and asked for their car keys. Taxis are taking them home. I may have saved several lives this morning! My friends, never let drunk drivers out on the road. (Always make that anonymous phone call) IT SAVES INNOCENT LIVES. Ps. Good morning my BYC friends.
Get the law on your concern ASAP. FORGET EMOTIONS! make it save against people who don't care! CPS would be a very good idea. Atleast there will be an investigation on record!

I do take it seriously. Another neighbor works for our YMCA and has contact information and when we talked to them last night told me to start videoing things happening for evidence and he's getting in touch with them himself. Several of us are having problems so there was sort of a neighborhood meeting while they were gone for a hour last night. Sadly there is also drug usage involved so its going to be a whole mess very soon.
That is great news Bob. Even if the vet isn't very experienced with chickens, they will be able to get you the medications you might need, plus all the other stuff like fecal floats and even X rays.I Found a Vet.
After 8 years of having chickens, I found a vet that will see them and treat them as pets, not livestock. She is 20 minutes from our house.
The timing could not be better as I wait for Hattie to poo. I believe that some wellness checks will be coming up shortly if nothing else!
