Be careful, they are very, very smart!
Well, her sister Daisy TSGHE... who is named for Bob’s Daisy TGHE... is really something! She has just an amazing personality! I love her! Minnie is usually a bit flighty but when I just went out to lock them up she let me give her some pats and then place her on the roost💕... here’s little Daisy TSGHE...

I know it is not chicken related, but I want to share these pictures I took earlier. Today Rosie turned 13. Folks, my one and only is a TEENAGER!!! Her best friend came up for a sleepover and wanted to double for a while this evening. All I asked was for a decent picture. You would have thought I was asking them to to walk across broken glass barefoot with the complaints I was getting. At least Russ cooperated and I got a couple good ones.

Thank you. What I wanted to do for Mother's Day was to take them both back on the hill and take pictures while it is still fresh and green. Mother Nature had other idea's. Cold and raining all day. It's ok though, supposed to be beautiful this weekend and she's already been threatened with no showing this year if she did not smile. Russ will be good as gold and knows when and how to pose when he see's a camera. Rosie has given me attitude about not liking her picture taken ever since she's been about 6, and it's only getting worse. That is one of many reasons the majority of my pictures are of the chickens, dogs and horses. At least they cooperate.

Last year I had a couple beyond my reach, so with the right conditions, I could end up with plants that big for sure.
I have them go across the tops of the neighboring tomato cages, like a hedge, and brace them well. Doesn't look neat, but it works. Tomato jungle! But also, our season may be shorter than most. Frost will put and end to any overly-ambitious tomato plants. We end up picking the remaining green ones and ripening them inside.

Cooked one lb of bacon in the oven.
400f on a cookie sheet, until the white fat turned darker. Let it cool in the oven and will have it for BLT’s tonight 😁
Ps. No burn accident 🔥😊
Outstanding!
