The backlighting of her comb and wattles is beautiful in this picture!

Thank you. I've being trying to use the sunlight to get more interesting pictures. Her comb and wattles really show up well when back-lit.

Strange Development

It seems that something odd is going on with all of my ladies wing feathers. Hattie has the dark feathers, Phyllis the white feathers, and now Lilly is joining the party.

If you zoom in on her wing there is now some barred feathers!

Sunday Morning

Hi! I hope everyone’s having a great day so far. It’s beautiful here. I’m sitting out here in my jammies enjoying the sunshine and some coffee while the girls eat the seeds from long (wild) grass that was mowed yesterday.

Ruby came out of the coop a little more hesitantly today. However, when I let them out to free range, she came out like gangbusters. I even saw her run to catch some bugs in the pasture. However, she’s definitely more tired today. She’s already taken a couple rests. Here she is right now.

Yeah, crazy! Couple of my girls have odd, mutant feathers. But I see it more on the barred rocks… They have a couple random solid black feathers.

I made a mistake...yesterday my assumption that egg#1 was from Tacky was wrong.

We now think it was Naenae.
