Yes, my Faverolles start bokking if they lose sight of each other!Got home at 4pm with Violet from school so we went to check if Snow had been busy today. Couldn’t see them in the cubby so opened the coop door to find this

Fetch the paper, not eat it!What a spoiled little girl.
Looks like you will have to train her to fetch the newspaper or something so she can earn her keep!![]()

I’m loving vicariously owning a house-goat!Example A:

House Goat... her feral relatives are forced to roam the island “foraging” for feed. Not this little spoiled brat, she gets tasty oats, carrots, crackers, mixed nuts and potato chips (treats only!) and overpriced organic lettuce when that’s all the store has in! Worse yet, when it rains her poor cousins are forced to shelter in the trees, where they may still get a little wet. She has also been told that they don’t have their own pillows to lay on when the humans require the use of the chairs.![]()
Thank you for the update...have been thinking of sweet Ruby. ❤Hi folks. I wanted go share another Ruby update. She has still not left the coop, but this morning was perched (sleepily) on the roost that’s on the edge of the board she’s been hanging out on (still at Millie/nest box height).
She seems lethargic and a little dazed, but is still awake. I left feed and water up for her and Millie today, but doubt Ruby touched it. HOWEVER... I treated the girls to watermelon today, and when I put some up on the shelf right in front of Ruby, she ate and ate and ate. It must have hydrated her a bit, as she even stood up for a spell. I would like to try to get her to eat something more substantial tomorrow without handling her (pretty sure I already said I’m not going to tube her and force her to live... we’re on her terms).
I also put a chair with a towel on the seat in the coop in case she wants to jump down. She looked like she might want to yesterday, but I think she’s too weak and don’t want to handle her; I want her to feel safe in her final days.
I think when I let the girls out in the morning, if she’s still with us, I’ll sneak some scrambled egg to Ruby and see if she tries any.
BFF! What sweeties. Belle may be practicing too.Got home at 4pm with Violet from school so we went to check if Snow had been busy today. Couldn’t see them in the cubby so opened the coop door to find this
