I am concerned that starting and stopping the machine that is working risks breaking it. If it is not working right, then sure, try and reboot it.

The eggs you need to stop are the 6th and 7th eggs that week.

As an extreme it seems that Naenae is laying 2 eggs/day. That to me would recommend intervention.

In the 2 subsequent winters to her 360 egg year, Daisy took the winter off. It did not save her. When laying she still laid every day. I believe that Tsuki took the winters off, is that right @Aussie-Chookmum? How long was her egg cycle?
Tsuki laid an egg almost every day in her first year or so. That tapered off, I think, to about every second day by the time she was about 2 and a half. By the time she passed away at 5 and a half years she hadn't laid an egg in months.

No, there was a shovel involved too, it used to be big clumps of razor grass, I think I showed pics of it all covered in cardboard a few months ago. They helped a lot though, 😊 and they are in charge of leveling and mixing in the compost when I get it in the next few weeks.
It's good to have solid helpers. 👍👍
