Time for a field trip on the grass? Maybe at the weekend when you can supervise?

I do think that a trip to the grass is in the cards for soon depending on the outside temp.

Whohoo!!!! Squirrel did it, she just gave me the best birthday present. Her first egg!!!! It's tiny but perfect and exactly what I expected from the Butter x Drumstick cross. His gene's darkened up the shell color several shades. And she has a few speckles from her momma.

Roof Resting

The temperature in my office must be just right for the chicks. I have not seen them go under the heat plate today. They are resting like this.

I've been Keeping Something from You All

Please forgive us but @RoyalChick and I have plotting behind everyone's back. The breeder where she got the roadrunners has Polish as well. She has obtained 2 Candy Corn Polish for me. Here is what they look like fully grown.

@RoyalChick has picked them up and she is driving to meet me half way so we can exchange these little darlings.

I honestly don’t know to answer this Michelle. Is there any way hubby can keep an eye on her and take her to the vet if need be?

Possibly. I can ask him. He’s not super helpful nor understanding when it comes to the chickens, but he might since it means a lot to me. He’s not super keen on vet care for chickens in general.

Security Breach

We had a breach in security yesterday. Mrs BY Bob did not close the door all the way and Éowyn broke in. She went right to her favorite spot and lay down at first. .

Then she noticed something was moving in the big box.

Then she was removed and placed back outside the room. The chicks never noticed from what I could tell.

Gasp! Very scary!
