I hope so! It would be ideal for her and the Littles to be a happy pack.I'm anticipating moving them out to their coop in about a week and a half.
The others are really giving Phyllis a tough time at roosting. This may play out to help me to move her roosting spot more easily. We shall see.
Me either. I would probably have to email the clip to someone so THEY could post it....and heaven help if the email process doesn't work either. I've been trying to share a vid to my family that I was sent via text....fought with the upload, success! NO! It's on mute! plays fine from the file saved on my phone, click on the mute icon on the uploaded version just goes to full screen. my BIL , who is tech savvy and my go to, is puzzled and figures a phone call troubleshooting session is needed. He's in Europe at the moment, so not happening for a while.I can say I have absolutely no ability to help - I didn't even know it was possible to post a video from the phone!
I doubt it. But there was at least one person on BYC raising them in their garage for food, because they're small and the poster couldn't have poultry in their yard where they live. Horrible.Do quail thrive indoors?
Such wonderful little acrobats! Some More Tightrope Walking
Well, it does sound very similar to that low frequency purr...and after work, sitting and watching/listening to them is soothing....This does cause me to extrapolate and succinctly andnaccurately conclude that chickens cooing and chattering have healing powers too.
Just saying...![]()
Yikes!Talking hawks. I've seen one hanging around here lately. I used to go run and get my hens in when they came around. Had some pretty brazen ones fly right close while I was out there. The Cooper hawk is the worst.
Right???What are you waiting for?![]()
You are doing a fantastic job with those girls! After I wrote about the aggressive one , I went outside and picked her up onto my lap. I know this will sound crazy but I talked to her.
Alex will understand....
I explained that I'm the top chicken in this flock and i won't stand for bad girls. As I spoke she stopped struggling and looked at me, then the cheek of it all, she fell asleep for about 15 minutes. The I brought her inside and put oil on her comb and wattles, she seemed to really enjoy it.
Next I brought the timid one onto my lap, and she pecked me hard on my lip and arm., I'm thinking I should seek a councillor because I was abused . Then I brought her in and she sat with me and the dog before I oiled her and she relaxed
