Im actually feeling a lot better. At first i was worried he would go to a bad home. But this sounds wonderful and got recommended to me by one of my friends who has amazing care for animals. So this sounds like a great fit for him.

I know personally how hard it can be. You will get through this and be well be happy which should help a lot.

This is Minnie. I am guessing it means that @BY Bob , @MaryJanet and others who suggested she may be starting to molt were right. Just one teeny feather out of placeView attachment 2859391.

And so it begins. Now you know to watch for this behavior next fall as a warning that molt is coming.

I know! I had another one like that from a different chicken a couple of weeks ago and it was a double yolker. I'm assuming this one is too.

I mentioned that Arizona and Dakota like to sit on me. I was hanging out in the coop with the chickens, and this happened:

You all are probably tired of them now! Haha, i always call him my little misfit, he has a calico tounge (like black and yellow patterns! Just how a cats mouths can be like mix matched) with his black and yellow spotted feet and bright green unmatching feathers! Still a cutie though.

He s gorgeous!

Even molting, Hattie still has a wonderful fluffy bum.

It's fluffy; harder than one might think with this lot.
It's a butt and what's more it's a chicken butt.
It's Friday, or it is where I am. I can't be held responsible for the bad timekeeping of others.
It's on target; okay it's a bit out of focus but she kept moving around!
Can't see how you can fault me really.
