All this egg talk has led me to ask Bill to make poached eggs to go with the blueberry muffins I made for dinner.

OMG, what wonderful pics. of the ladies. I think I have 3 favorites (well..maybe more..but I'm sticking with 3 for now)
I love both pics of the two of them deck - one napping with them and one sunbathing - they look so content. And then the one of them beak to beak - like they are having a pow-wow!

....But there are a couple of head shots of each that are just so powerful!

Thank you for sharing both the pictures and the story of Scott Hamilton - it is a powerful message.

I am so glad you enjoyed them. They are and were special ladies to me.

So tragic, very sad. Your story hits very close to home as you know. Human error just sucks. But what a great tribute here, and wonderful pictures! Thank you for writing this. Your last sentence is just beautiful. It speaks for me too.

Sadly we have similar stories. It is hard to remember that we are not perfect and even harder to forgive ourselves for not being so. I hope that you can find the peace to accept that you cannot change what has happened but you can honor her memory by learning from it and being better. That is my goal every day.
