I have always known my limitations. Now I finally have some help. I plan to take advantage of it.Exactly. After all the vet deliberately chose to spend all that time learning (is it 5 years full-time study?) about animals and then birds, so they're bound to know more or better than people who did not make that choice.
I mean this kindly, may I ask why are you dusting for mites? Have you found mites on your chickens? If they are molting as chickens normally do, why do you want to stop it? I'm thinking you may not have understood the idea @Shadrach had about @BY Bob 's hen Sansa's situation. Mites don't cause molting, but can cause issues with feathers beyond regular molting that he suggested might be going with Sansa. Bob checked her for mites and didn't find any, so he did not treat her for mites. She has something else going on, maybe a very extended molt, or something else, and she weighs only 3.1 pounds which seems low for her breed. So it could be a complicated situation for her beyond a molt and she's going to see a vet. Normally, molting is a good thing for chickens, you do not want them to stop their molt. They replace their old worn feathers with new ones. I hope I haven't offended you, I do mean this kindly.I dusted my girls today. Hopefully they will stop molting now
It doesn't?This lot are four of the seven mobile trip hazards that seem to think that every time I reach into my rucksack food is magically going to appear.View attachment 2900447
