Initial Reations to Sansa from the Vet

I recall Hazel did eat a tiny bit and Butters just loved the Exact baby bird feed I tried with them. Ate it like yogurt. You could try some crushed fruity Tums or citrate & D3 in with it too in case she's not taking enough oyster shell or isn't metabolizing oyster shell well.
Heat - a heating pad on low, covered with a small towel and then wrapped in Press 'n Seal (a la @Blooie) if she roosts in a next box, or on a bar where she roosts, will work.
Mine love the exact as a treat. In fact, tomorrow morning I plan to dump all the remaining dust from the little feeders into one shallow bowl, pour warm water over it, and top with a generous serving of exact.

Now Butter has me worried with her fast hard molt. She stopped eating everything in sight and this afternoon during the warmest part of the day she was found in the winterized coop shivering. She's now inside and will stay inside the majority of the next few days as its cold. It's supposed to be in the teens tonight and even though we weatherproofed the coop I fear she would freeze to death. Once inside by the heater and after she warmed up a bit she did decide to eat some wet cat food and layer pellets. I felt so bad picking her up and carrying her inside though as she feels like a porcupine with all the pin feathers and I know from the protests that even though I was as gentle as I could be it was very uncomfortable for her.

Anybody know of a good, true and honest dating site? I’m kinda interested in finding someone for the holidays. (I have a few friends) but it’s not the same thing. And as much as I love my chickens and Chaco, I still have room for a companion too! (Preferably not another gold digger)😞…..?
Never mind, I think that I have embarrassed myself enough for today.

How do you mix the Exact? Like pudding, their main instructions, I'd have to look at the bag for the ratio, but it's kind of gluey, or looser? I could hear their beaks snapping like they were chewing gum the first batch I made. I made it looser after that.

That seems like a mostly good outcome...at least with Lilly. RE: Sansa: Hopefully it is an easy to fix nutritional deficit and she turns around quickly. 3.77 pounds is pretty light for a Wyandotte!

Hmmmmm, while the cat is away, the mice will play.....seems like Hattie and Aurora were 'keeping an eye' on Sylvie! :(

For the crate...I buy cheap paper towels and put 2 layers down...they are then really easy to swap out if it needs changing...plus doesn't make a mess like shavings do if they scratch at all. It has worked really well for me for short trips. (and the soiled paper towels go right into the compost pile, too!)
Thanks. Helpful hint. I must do something different next time.
