Clover is a real treat around here. They have removed most of it from my lawn.
My horses have an issue with clover here, when the weather is wet and damp it develops a fungus call Slaframine which can poison horses and cattle, I see no data on poultry though. And i have not seen any signs of issues that need my chooks.

As a result tgough, I try to eliminate it from my paddocks. I like it in my lawn though - it's the only green in the lawn hahaha.

Are you ok? You haven't overdone it have you? You need to sit, relax, put your feet up and watch your chickies. Have cuppa HOT mint tea....

FYI chickens like fresh mint!
I was just waiting for Jaffar to start his crowing. He’s doing it now. (Means he’s okay) but I think he’s calling me to bring him inside with me. (Daddy, bring me in. It’s cold out here) :idunno

Not ever having experienced a chicken molting, when my cousin's hen Sophia did so at my place she stopped eating had these clear watery poops.

Really freaked me out, I found that she would eat scrambled eggs and toast (my homemade bread specifically), and water sugar water. She immediately had more energy and perked up, but wouldn't eat regular food, not even the morning porridge I make for them. Took about 6 weeks of this pampering, before she started eating regularly. Then another few weeks for her stools to stabilize.

I was told this is normal for a hard molt. But it sure freaked me out.i feel she would have died of I hadn't pampered her with eggs, she was definitely not eating, and her crop all mushy at night.

Ok well keep us apprised, hopefully just a hard molt.
Thanks. She’s been through a hard molt before and did not handle it well. But this is something else. She seems to be in crop stasis, which undoubtedly is from something like an obstruction further down her gastrointestinal tract.

Oh dear, sure hope you can get some answers for this. Keep us updated.

Not tomato plant leaves. They shouldn't eat plants from the nightshade family (the tomatoes themselves are okay...just not the plants.) Clover is good for them; a higher protein content than grass in general.
Yep I read somewhere tomato plants not good for them, one day they stripped my tomato plants - leaves flowers and green and red tomatoes, all that was left were twigs 😲😲

Needless to say I was not happy !! They were non the worse for it...

Me though, very ticked off, I only have a very short growing season here, and it was too late to start new plants. Next year I will fence off my plants. Who knew chickens ate anything they can get their little beaks on!

Oh and the scratch grain? Wow they went wild for that!!!
