I hope those ladies were feathered :duc
I think that they must have been molting. They weren’t wearing much of anything!

I know. Very pricy, which is why I am hesitant. I think a nice wood shed could work, but we’d have to install windows and ventilation. Hubby is a contractor and has the skill to build something beautiful. But he doesn’t want to and something quick, as long as it’s big enough and nice enough, would alleviate some moving stress.
“He doesn’t want to” so sad. :he

Do you think it’s big enough for ten chickens? They currently live in a coop that is 5x5 on one level, 3x5 on the second level, and the 3x5 area under the second level is enclosed with hardware cloth and is really part of the coop, even though it’s outside. So even when they’re locked up, which is only for sleep, they have about 55 square feet. In this new set up, they’d have about 48 square feet, all on one level. It might be nice and cozy, though. As long as the ventilation is adequate, it might work.
No way to take the one you already have, with you?

I only have 4 chickens they would be comfortable in there. I can't say for ten, as for the space inside as it's only showing the exterior. I wish we could see inside

What about a shed for convenience adding a run outside. Would this be easier for your DH?

Due too the inferior workmanship of my first coop I had one made but again I had to have a lot of work done on it

Yeah, I know. The chickens are my thing.
There was a lady in town, pinning for my attention, but all I did was talk about my chickens. She became frustrated and told me bluntly “If we were to start a relationship, you would pay more attention to the chickens than me!” I told her bluntly as well, “I never said I was looking for a relationship, and my chooks are the love of my life!” True story!
