This sounds like a great day in so many ways! So glad to see you have some measurable progress, and, even more so, feel positive!!! That dark hole that we get to at times can be all consuming (not that you didn't have good reason, mind you)...and you have been so resourceful and carrying such a heavy load...It is WONDERFUL to hear this positive news!

@BY Bob Unfortunately, my hen that got attacked by a hawk is being VERY uncooperative regarding catching her. I'll have to wait until she roosts tonight to do my last check.

I prefer to use roost time to examine my ladies. I don't like scooping them up or even chasing them during daylight hours. I will gladly wait for news.

Will do but it's starting to look like a rainout for today. I will do my prep today, get my tools and supplies organized so I don't waist a half day tomorrow doing so. Lol. It'll be open air design with my south and east sides open from half way up. North side butts against the duck coop, west side closed because that's where most our storms coming in from. I have gotten some good ideas from others on here. Soffit vent covers down low on the half open sides to catch the summer breeze and an exhaust fan on the west side to suck out the hot air. Pictures to come..

Caturday

I usually post my Caturday pictures on @Ribh thread but I will double post today for those who don't read both

Éowyn was in an OPEN window yesterday as it was 64°F (17.7°F) here. IN FEBRUARY!

All this fresh air has made Davis sleepy.

Of course being awake makes Davis sleepy.

That is a big reason why I went into math when I was younger - you always knew if you were right or wrong. No grey. Now, however, I just love Statistics...which is nothing BUT grey!

This is what I thought too, a nasal discharge. Jaffar has good and bad days, once in a while you mention his breathing has a gurgle sound, and I think you've said he coughs and sneezes. He's got to have some recurring problem going on, right? And I think you've treated him with antibiotics already.

So I've mentioned this before, but when you took Jaffar to the vet some time ago, did the vet look for air sac mites and rule it out? Ivermectin or moxidectin is the treatment, these are antiparasitics, aren't they, not antibiotics? This could be affecting your entire flock.

Take this all with a grain of newbie-salt, could be something else entirely. I'm also behind so maybe he has already, but hopefully @BY Bob will weigh in.

If Jaffar has mites, then so do I. He spent 1/2 hour snuggling naked neck, to my naked neck this morning. Now he’s out with his ladies, crowing and showing off. His nostrils are still clogged up, but he’s breathing okay.

Amazingly, we had another February integration under way. Phyllis and Sydney were meeting the other girls at the drop door. I am astonished that we are doing this again so quickly. I would have never guessed.
