Too much work for my mum when I am out working on a project I could be gone for up to 6 months, it's bad enough I have full grown chickens for her to chase after .

And the horses to muck out... I pay her well, it's her casino money hahahahaha!

Welcome home Marty. She is adorable, give her 2 months and you will not be able to recognize her. Chiquita was picked on in her previous home but here she is afraid of no one and is near the top of the pecking order.

She took on Henny Penny, it was a draw.... She is about half the size of my gals and I think they are wee!

Well, I did it, the chicks are sleeping outside tonight. When I went out to put them in the brooder box I'd moved out the 3 Buffs were up on the top roosting bar where Branch and Chiquita sleep. The rest including Ezzie had managed to get into the brooder and were bedded down in the extra layer of hay I had added. I put the 3 girls roosted into the box with the rest then covered them over. I'm not ready yet to leave them roosted because I'm afraid if they get down before I get out there to open the coop up in the mornings the cochin girls will go after them. For now, they will continue to sleep in the box and be let out as soon as I empty the coop out in the mornings. I already miss the sounds of them cheeping in my bedroom.

I am hoping for another work from home project , can my luck be that good?? I hope so! I have become used to my office being invaded by chickens during my team's meetings hahaha!
