Yes, I have found peach trees are very fussy and easily stresses.

I baby mine esp as I am at the upper limits of latitude for growing peaches. We have huge peach growers in southern Ontario but I am in central Ontario and the big issue is loss of blossom to frost. Yee gads there is nothing so nice as fresh peaches

Well, that explains it....it is already stressed because of your climate. Peach trees here aren't that vulnerable. They aren't the most robust trees, but no where near as vulnerable as what you describe about yours.

I've always said I would be in trouble if I ever caught reduced prices on chicks at tractor supply or rural king. I got sent in today to grab a few cases of water for my grandpa and found myself back at the chicks bins for just a peek. Chicks were reduced to .50 each. Sadly I passed them up, all that was left were Cornish Cross. My heart breaks for those chicks knowing how fast they grow and their intended purpose. I do not eat my chickens, and I will not purchase any meat chicks. I did think long and hard about them wondering if with a restricted diet could I turn a few into pets, but, that would be cruel here. I'm all the time handing out treats so to restrict a diet I would either have to deprive everyone else of treats or totally confine them. I guess in a way it is a good thing though, I remove the turner tonight in my incubator and on the 14 day candle I have 35 still going strong. If there is early hatchers I could potentially have chicks late Sunday night early Monday morning.

He boarded a plane last night: destination Italy for his daughter's wedding. Will be gone 2 weeks, not checking in. Didn't want us calling out a wellness check on him. We've been "discussing" smuggling home Italian Leghorns/hatching eggs.

Oh I hear you, I wish I could get some chicks but I am at my limit.

It's a good thing here that chicks are special ordered at the feed mill. Never any extras or over stock to be sold off thankfully!!
