No you're are a million miles from the worst chicken mum. Not even close by a billion miles. You care and do your utmost to care for them . Just look at the insensitive greedy b tards that starve neglect even abuse their flocks. They are the worst humans on earth that should be near let alone have the honor of being near any animal

I've lost two this past year and I honestly feel I let Amber down dreadfully but as for Agatha, I know I couldn't possibly have saved her but managed too prolong her life by a few weeks and the majority of that time she really enjoyed, thanks too flexi ♥️
Agatha was well past two years of age when I got her, in all that time caged up with so many other chickens with no room too move already done it's damage 😞

Yes our girls can be robust but like us humans they will have their weaknesses and the same said some will be weaker than others both in the wild and domestic.

Please don't beat yourself up. I'm really sorry for your losses but you still have the other little beauties 💕 💖 :hugs
You are also a brilliant chicken mum. Don't forget it yourself.

Note: FA18’s are usually very noisy. Especially at low altitude. Good luck with your migraine 🙁
They are awesome, unless its midnight and you're in Cold Lake AB in a hotel near the Base air field and they are out and n training...

We put a pipeline in just south of there a year and half ago, got a free air show every day 🤗

Many years ago I was on a pipeline project west of cold Lake and we had sonic booms weekly!!! Being in such a remote location with only boreal forest they can go flat out!!!! The first time I heard one is was in the office trailer half way between Fort Mc and Lac La Bich - the other administrative andi thought a pipeline had exploded!!! It wasn't till later when one of the guys came in and asked if we heard the boom 😲 wow, just wow, amazing awesome 😁

Just checked the horses yhey were ok, a bit jittery but could be the wind...

I will try for pics tomorrow the airshow at the Base is on all weekend.

Tomorrow hopefully no wind so the parachutes can do their thing!

Likely won't be a full show today with the extreme wind, the choppers likely won't have their thing with the guys rappelling out of them, and some of the smaller trick planes likely won't fly....

But hope the snowbirds and your US team the Blue Angels fly by 😊

We used to go all the time but it's a mad house to get out at the end with restricted access on the Base only the one road in....

Now I just sit in the middle of the paddock and they fly over - I am oriented on the east of the base so they run over my place and then along the landing strip there really awesome show, not a bad seat in the house over there.

Toronto international airport has to stop flights though during airshow as the planes are too close to the airshow flight paths.

Oh, hospitals near me give ugly med. brown ones with white zig-zaggy things for the grippy part, and they fit like a tent! Like a super-sized tube sock with no real stretch...so the toe box is way wider than my very wide feet, and it bunches in front of the ankle like elephant skin because it doesn't stretch for the heel.

Tax for grippy socks talks:

Hey, wait before you take my picture...gotta fix my feathers:View attachment 3153491View attachment 3153493View attachment 3153495View attachment 3153497View attachment 3153498View attachment 3153499

Love it! 😆

Your whining tax balance is quite large and accruing interest and penalties........

Just pointing it out............
I am going to try for some really big chickens tomorrow 😊 maybe some Snowbirds and your Blue Angels 🤗 if I am lucky.

Forgot to post this yesterday, this is what happens when your chickens try to navigate tall grass hahaha

What a beauty love barred rock.

Fyi those booties are awesome to put over your muddy work boots when you come inside so you don't have to keep taking off your boots.

Learnt that from the oilsands - at camp and the offices.
