Such lovely gals you have thereWhen it’s hot out, they usually hang out under the porch, but I’m here, so they came up to see what treats I might have:

Oh RebeccaWhen she left she told me and mom in front of everyone that she did want to see either one of us again and we were not welcome down there anymore. That may change in a few days I hope. After she was gone I made something very clear to mom, I was not willing to try to keep her here anymore, it was a nursing home from this point forward. Tomorrow would have made 3 months she was here. During that time I have dropped 32lbs, my blood pressure is elevated and the constant stress has had my own blood sugar levels ping ponging. There have been some days where I have ate nothing and can not get my blood sugar levels down and some days I cannot keep it up into normal range. My doctor even put me on a new medication to help deal with the stress and I can tell it is helping a little but there is no magic pill to make everything better. After she left I went out and grabbed Branch. Me and him laid on my bed and watched 2 episodes of Dr. Pol together. That little rooster snuggled right up to me and did his rooster purr the entire time.
It's hilarious actually, and they are all used to me using the round saw, and drill - don't even bat an eyelash! I feel like I should put safety goggles on them all when they hang around meI am painfully familiar with the help (and criticism) I get from both chickens and cats - I can only imagine how hard it is if your help is something the size of a horse!

Measuring tapes! I can never find one of my 15 measuring tapes when I need one.I can confirm your suspicion about caulking guns. Cans of WD40 and measuring tapes have the same behavior patterns.

That is some great blending in!Oh gosh, I just realized the Walmart tracking probably thinks I’m solidly cuckoo. Last time I was in there was the random accompanying mom around the store doing the “shopping” thing, then when she decides she’s done and can’t shop anymore (usually due to a nicotine fit combined with her health issues, and people-ing) I leave her to get to the checkouts and make a mad dash thought the store for the stuff we actually need. Cottage cheese, snacks for the way home (I know she’s also hangry) food items, stationary… or like last time it was power steering fluid which is on the second floor. This led to the brake fluid impulse purchase, which I couldn’t decide on and after the initial snatch and grab and power walking back to the escalator I had a “do I really need it?” moment decided to put it back (where it belongs) because I’m not a jerk. So there’s the deer in headlights panic moment followed by indecisive looks at the fluid, another mad dash up to put it back where it belongs, then back to the escalator and a “no, I really should buy it” and dash back!sleep deprivation, lack of eating, and severe time limitations combined with a slowly browsing elderly parent in an outing… it must make for quite the entertainment. I’m usually a little loopy by the time we hit Walmart, even with DH, but shopping with mom?
salt shakers and dishes and hoarding… but you won’t actually buy the underwear you need
