Hi Bob. No, I just haven’t been on BYC much. I’ve popped by MJ, Ribh’s and Shad’s threads and stop by if I’m tagged or see something on the home screen, but I would not leave this thread. I justt can’t keep up. 🤣

Things are good. My eye is healed up. I finally refilled all my flower pots this weekend, and discovered a yellow jacket nest in one of the wine barrel style pots. Not fun. After unsuccessfully attempting thr Frontline in catfood eradication method amd trapping, last night I tried a non-toxic kill method. I’ll know on the next couple days if it worked, I think.

Last weekend we went river rafting and I injured myself. Check out the chaos jn thjs photo as we got tossed through a major rapid. A bit painful with a pulled muscle group, but exhilarating nontheless.

We had some drama with the neighbor across the way (who bought the other property right after we bought ours) renting it out as a corporation yard. I won’t go into it, but we are glad to have out peace, quiet and privacy back since my husband put a stop to it.

The chickens are doing well. It’s strange having some mini summer molts, but it gives them a break from laying.

I’ll close with a mugshot video of Bridge.
It is wonderful to see Bridge again! 🥰

I am really glad to hear that all is well. That rafting photo is something. That must have been a great time!

Thanks, RC! Miss you! I just put a hose on the nest, which is covered with a sheet at the moment, and there was zero activity. I’d like to uncover it, inspect and really soak it, but I think I’ll wait until night time. The two stings I got when I discovered the nest swelled up quite a bit, and I’d rather not risk more. The non-toxic method was mixing peppermint pure castile soap and pouring it over the nest.
The idea being that they would then abandon the hive and move elsewhere without killing them?

Hello! Do you mind if I join your flock? I have read up to page 75 but I don't think I can read 9817 pages!!!:lau
@BY Bob, do you think you can update me on who is in your flock?
Quite a few people have to give up. You most certainly may join in. I need to type up a synopsis for new comers. Give me a bit and I will work something up for you so you can jump right in. While I'm doing that, tell us about you and introduce your chickens to us, preferably with photos please.

here is some video of her from yesterday joining in on snack time! Gosh I have missed her the last month. 🥰
