🤣
Actually, yesterday I set 7 full size eggs and three bantam eggs aside for someone who has a broody, but no rooster, and wanted eggs. Looked in this morning, and my tiny banty broody is spread out as far as she could and only covering a little over half of them...😂
I took them all away, and the screaming that ensued....
:lau
You can send all me up here - I have 3 begging for eggs haha

I came clean when they were about 3 weeks old, to encourage continual bonding. He is okay with them, as he had kinda warmed up to them before knowing, and I promised to process them if they became aggressive towards him. But, tbh, I don't think I could. Sampson, always comes over when I am near the pen and chats with me. I am a bit upset with hubby, though. His idea of continuing to bond with them is, on weekends, if he happens to be near their pen, he will say 'hi' as he walks by. I've chastized him about this lack of effort...and am praying that they see him enough to not be aggressive, even if they aren't truly 'friendly' towards him.🙏 at least he hasn't disowned me over it.....I knew his was a somewhat irrational fear from something when he was a kid, and given his kind heart...I knew he wouldn't be freaked out if he had them grow up in front of his eyes. But, I also know him well...unlike you all. Please know I wouldn't have tricked him if I thought he would be terrified...that would have just been down right cruel...and I'm not that. (I probably give that impression at times, though...😬
Awww you're a softy for sure 🤗

I am sure the geese will know your hubby is a friend 😊

Thanks i am still steamed. I know I should let it go but, grrrrrr!

The beginning of the class the instructor asked everyone on a scale of 1 to 10 how good a driver they were -OMG so many said 9, 8.... I laughed when The came to me and I flat out said 'like EVERYONE of you in here I am an average driver'. I gave myself a 5.

That was before I knew they were ALL there on a court order for remedial driver training.

OMG can you imagine the soap box I would have got on for the chick sitting next to me who said she was 9 (she was 100km over in a 50 zone !!!!???). And for all the others !! Holy Dinah!

Everyone if them maybe a 3....

I am an experienced driver I have driven on mining roads, logging roads, in blizzards, snow squalls so blinding I couldn't see but daren't stop incase some moron hit me, freezing rain, fog so thick I was shaking scared... Dealt with -40 to +40 temps. Moose, grizzly bears cows his n the road.... but I am just an average driver nothing special.

Where do get off saying they are an 8 or 9??

Please come to Australia and unleash on the entitled motorists here! :old

Which is most of them. Even some of the nicest people I know still drive too close to the car in front, I think half of them are unaware that they are because everyone else around them does it. When a lane marker line appears at the back of the car in front, I count “one thousand, two thousand, three thousand” until it reaches the front of my car and then I roughly know how many seconds I am behind the car in front. The minimum is two seconds, the preference is three. And I find the worst drivers (in Australia anyway) are police officers; my SIL is a copper and advanced driver and high pursuit training has made her over-confident and she’ll drive too close to cars at high speeds and it’s scary!

Problem solved, I think. I cleaned out the bin in the coop that Bunny and her chicks were sleeping in before they started roosting. I made a fresh new nest out of hay and moved Chiquita and her eggs into it and scooted it back against the wall. Chiquita was hiding behind it. She did not protest the move and instead of setting her down on her eggs in the new nest I placed her in front of it to see what she would do. I've never been successful before in moving a hen from her chosen nesting spot. Angry puffball ran to her eggs and settled right down. I then took some more fresh hay and fixed a spot beside the bin for Momma hen and Squirrel. I can cover the bin over so the other girls cannot disturb Chiquita. It also has enough room in it that I was able to place a water dish and food dish inside incase Chiquita needs to come off the nest and I'm not out there. I will make sure to let Chiquita out every day so she can relieve herself. If mom walks out and peeks into the coop the bin is not new, been inside for a while now. It will not arouse suspicion.
Here we have Angry Poof *her new nickname* happily settled on her eggs.

Another shot of Angry Poof. I also know if I choose to, in the future she can easily cover 3 or 4 full size eggs. I really did not expect to find Momma Hens and Squirrels much larger eggs under her today. And incase another slip-up happens, Chiquita's eggs are now marked.

Ok everyone, we have our first set of pictures. Because of the time differences around the world I would like for everyone at some point before Midnight eastern time in the United States on Tuesday July 12th to post their pictures in celebration.

I'm going to modify the picture request. I would prefer that everyone post a photo of every chicken which you have shared here but that could be too much for some folks. So for those of you with a whole lot of chickens to share I am asking that instead you share your 3 all time favorite pictures of your chickens.

Any objections?
Just to remind those who haven't seen @BY Bob message 💖

So egg-cited to see more beautiful chickies 💖
