Ya I hear ya, I was so very much hoping she had turned a corner, I need to read up on this virus I have not heard of it, wonder if there is a vaccine??

There is a vaccine but it is complicated. I would not vaccinate for it and I am a huge believer in vaccines.

The vaccine is an attenuated virus. That means we humans have altered it so it cannot cause disease. However once you vaccinate with attenuated virus it actually continues to replicate in the chicken, much like Marek's. However in this case it is well documented that the attenuated virus can mutate and can become infectious. Thereby introducing the live virus into your environment.

Statistically speaking it seems that through vaccination we have now made this rare virus much more prevalent.

Isn't there a a cure for herpes last I read there was one they were experimenting with

Many many many types I don’t know of any cure for any of them I am more familiar with the human chicken pox which children are vaccinated for, and adults can get vaccine for shingles (had shingles on my face extremely painful - like fire ants crawling over your face and itchy then burns like crazy it you touch it ).

Maybe some here knows more on this??

Oh no ! I was not aware it was an attenuated virus. Isn’t that rather like the Polio vaccine some countries use? Or is that a live virus? I know here in North America it’s a killed virus …. So many different vaccine types out there - no wonder so much misinformation.

It is exactly like the attenuated polio virus used in some countries. There was just a case of secondary polio from the attenuated virus in upstate NY last month. The person was exposed to the virus overseas.

You are correct that North America only uses killed polio vaccine.

I do that sometimes with Truly, and call her Shareen she broke away from me, ran away , tripped on the lead shank and broke her neck - truly looks like her…
