I mentioned way earlier in the summer that I applied for a controls engineer position with our company. The process was drawn out and I had given up on it. Well Friday morning my manager told me that I will be contacted soon to setup an interview. So on to number 2. Blue Bell creamery, makers of the best ice cream in the world. 15 minutes from home. An automation job so Monday through Friday 8 to 5 pretty much. I have dreamed of working there since we moved here 6 years ago. I had a telephone interview with them Thursday and have a face to face interview this Tuesday. Number 3. About a month ago I applied for a automation job with a drilling company that use to be my biggest customer when I worked for National Oilwell Varco. Friday I had a telephone interview with them and they asked if I could come in for a face to face interview. Number 4. When my old boss at NOV heard I was interviewing with the drilling company he was like hey F'er we are hiring. So we talked and I told him my salary demands and he was like yeah that is in range especially given my history there and the manager is a crazy Newfie that I worked for on a couple of projects in the UAE back in 2016. He liked that when I was on rotation he never had to come check on my project because I kept everything on track and on time. My final rotation there he gave me Fridays off with pay because I stayed over to finish up. So there ya have it. I thank God for the opportunities that he has provided for me and seek his guidance in making the best decision should I be offered more than one of these jobs. Worst case scenario is I stay at my present job and I like it there because my manager is a awesome guy and I have a good reputation on the Amazon side and my employer. Bob, tax will be coming once I put the chooks outside a little later.

So, since I don't have a Pony, thought I would post a picture of my dog Elroy. Can't ride him, but HE thinks he is a lap dog No pony is gonna sit on my lap! He is from horse country, though, so I can see how he might be confused about being a pony/being a rider of a pony. (Rescue from KY.)View attachment 3247686

I haven't been on much today. I've seen the chickens while I was awake but slept most of the day until 5 pm. The chicks and chickens are doing great. Integrating them should be interesting. I'm not feeling well my degeneration in my lower back has been very painful today. My scoliosis and arthritis isn't bothering me though. My neck is another story it always hurts.

Try not to push to hard. This is totally contradicting what I have just written but I hope you understand. Never give up. They're times you must stop but other times you have to keep right on fighting

I’m angry . I just gave Jaffar a quick bath to comfort him. But I got more wet than he did! It’s okay though. I had to remove the smell of elderberries from him. I didn’t know that he was married to a hamster before??? Only Monty Python fans would know what I’m saying!

been there and done that. I even get more flea and mites powder on me than those darned chickens

You kidding? I lived on top ramen and pb&j sandwiches all throughout college! I know how to improvise!

Try not to push to hard. This is totally contradicting what I have just written but I hope you understand. Never give up. They're times you must stop but other times you have to keep right on fighting

Oh I wont give up Im only 53 and young at heart I still have many years and plan to find someone to help me if anything with the daily pain.
