Yes I am office manager/exec admin/get er done admin support 😊 and official gofer.

If it needs doing I do it.

When it gets light the boss and I are going to check out the right-of-way (RoW). That’s were the install the pipeline. Pipe is buried at least 90cm down. Hope to see some Bison! The bears are all hibernating now.

The pipe creates heat from the movement of the gas or oil flowing through it 😊 friction.

This is why they don’t bury pipelines in the arctic where there is permafrost!

They test here for permafrost before digging ditch for pipe.

Camp Life

Thought I would show everyone a camp, and my well-site. Most people do not get a well-site they would get just a room with either a shared bathroom or their own bathroom.

Because I am part of the construction management team I get a well-site if they have them or an executive room (large room private bathroom, and fridge and microwave) if no well-site is available. Here I have well-site. Oh and pardon my swearing - I really did lock my self out twice :he

Hope you don't go stir crazy. I can't imagine living there for 6 mos. without some sort of a kitchen! The view is gorgeous!

I swear I am going to have to start secretly recording myself and mom's conversations. Out of the blue she asked me when did we get the Rural king chicks. I told her first week of February. She then goes I thought so. Followed by the first hen that went broody the first week of February that was not momma hen she wanted me to set with 2 eggs. I asked her why. Her response floored me. She just told me she is going to let the hen hatch off 2 of her own and the minute they start hatching she is running to Rural King for 6 more buff orps. That is why the hen cannot be Momma hen, she would never get to touch them to make them friendly. I think I have broken her, for the longest time she swore I had too many chickens when the number went over 5. Now well, she does not care what the number is she needs more orps.

I was glad to read you made it there safely! I am also glad you have tour cams set up so you can still check in your flock while you are away.
The site looks lovely with gorgeous wilderness scenery just wow cold and snowy. I can’t imagine doing hard labor out in that!! Thank you for sharing the video :)

Your ladies are looking lovely as ever 😊 are you getting this mild weather also?
Yes, it has been very mild. It has been nice though for the hens who are having serious moults this year. I am seeing less feathers falling now, so hopefully they will fill in soon.

Penny loves it when I sit on the ground, so she can warm her toes on my lap!
