Mugs Monday - an attempt at a mug shot

I have ordered myself a 3x optical zoom PTZ camera for the aisleway of the barn so I can get a better look at the chooks out here.

But here is today's attempts at some photos.

Mr P didn't seem to thrilled at the disembodied voice singing to him hahaha. Smile for the camera little man!

Everyone is running around doing chicken things.

Evaluating all of the combs you see, who do you think is laying eggs?

I am getting beige eggs from someone. I thought it was Sydney but Hattie is pretty red too. I don't think Lady F is there yet but what do you think? I have not caught anyone on the nest yet. The eggs from over Thanksgiving weekend.

So far so good. He did some dancing for them but the ladies are reserving their judgment. I check them frequently and they seem to be getting along.

Glynda, Sydney, Hattie, and going by the wattles, Phyllis possibly.

Phyllis is not laying. No white eggs. Glynda is laying, blue eggs.

Both Hattie and Sydney laying is a possibility. They lay nearly identical eggs.

So you don't think Lady Featherington is laying yet, correct?

The queen is back at it making sure I know my place after her embarrassment. I went out to give them their lunch. She was actually front and center demanding it as you can see here.

I fill up a coffee can of feed and corn and go scatter it. I'm swarmed, but one hen is suspiciously missing. Where the heck is Butter? I backtrack and sure enough, found her.

Really your highness, is that necessary. You would think she would at least acknowledge my presence. Spoiled rotten hen.
