I am guessing this might be cuddling for warmth. It appears that there are three of them on the middle bar, Sydney, Lady Featherington, and Glynda. Tonight will be the coldest night so far as it is going down to 28°F (-2°C). I don't know if I want to watch this roosting process.

And yes, Hattie is sleeping on a ceramic egg that someone through out of the nestbox. I bet that is cold. What is she thinking?

I don't see a problem now, the roosting process is done and settled....or do they skirmish in the night?
The ceramic egg will hold heat once she warms it up, won't it?

Yes. Everything is settled for the night. No more skirmishes until tomorrow night.

If she heats the ceramic egg it should hold heat. It's just weird. It had to be very cold when she lay down on it.

Home sweet home!

It was a long arduous trip home but I am here! Yay! It’s only -1C which is really mild for here, yay!

Poor Mr P! I feel for him! Why doesn’t he snuggle with Curly to help with his head position?!
