No she doesn’t scratch at it. And it doesn’t have any fluid coming out of it.
Well if it isn't draining, she isn't scratching it then I would just monitor and ignore.

Don't trouble, trouble, till trouble, troubles trouble....

yes chickies - baby chirping chickies - you know the ones that a little fluff balls :)

Babies!
Yes, I know them well: CBD61F68-A81C-4D38-A784-874CE2B03EBB.jpeg

This hen is driving me crazy and had me seeing things. I have been stalking her from the window all day. She knows this and likes to rearrange the leaves while I am staring at her looking for any sign of a chick. Several, several times I've thought I have caught a glimpse of a blonde something. I've also sworn to myself I have saw this blonde thing move. I just went and took pictures. Yes I have been seeing something blonde, and it has moved. The blonde thing is not a chick, it is her chest feathers. Very soon I will be carted off to the looney bin over this girl.View attachment 3367904View attachment 3367905View attachment 3367906
Oh boy - talk about drama! I came back here and did a search for your chats so I could catch up on Momma Hen.

Has she come off that nest today at all? What are your temps like now? is it warmed up?

What a crazy bird! But how can you not love her - she is feisty, and strong!

I’m still thinking on it. Possibly spring. (If at all) I was kinda hoping that my hens would go broody. Oh well :th
Well it's only January so likely have to wait a bit for them to go broody :)

Were you hoping to get them to hatch out eggs?

That sounds like a great trip - where in Canada are you travelling to? It's a big country :)
Oh... um... Haha... Well... Seattle? I think. Somewhere around there. What are the places near Alaska. We are mainly gonna be in Alaska, but we are flying out of Canada I believe.
