He is a temperamental little rooster. Something isn’t going his way today. I know he doesn’t like rain.
Here’s the mess that he made :rant 9995CB23-6BA5-43C6-A857-6AC3C3D4F59A.jpeg :

I am worried about Diana. She is a bit ‘off’ this afternoon. She is pooping and eating and drinking just fine but she isn’t moving around as much. She is all fluffed up even though it isn’t particularly cold.
Poor girl - she just looks very tired.
Oh dear, hope she is just having an off day.

I read ahead sonomonow she is still molting, maybe she just feels the damp…?

EDIT meant 'so hoping' she is still molting (darn cell phone!)

Yeah. Very deep rick olive color. I've never seen this color either. @knoturavggrl Let us know which chicken it is when you find out.
I will! It’s one of my Moss Eggers for sure, I have three. They are supposed to lay this moss green color or dark brown and usually they have speckling. I went out today and powder is looking especially smug, it could well be her. I do not have a coop cam but I am sure wishing I did! They laid it in the far back corner of the coop nowhere near the nest boxes so its going to be a egg hunt for while. Bought ceramic eggs and nesting pads too, 🤷‍♀️

Butter and her crazy molts has done it to me again. Last year I had a naked freezing hen in my room for Thanksgiving. This year starting in November she slowly started dropping feathers. She never went into her full blown drop every single feather molt until a week ago. Now she is a naked mass of pin feathers freezing chicken in my room once again. Temps dropped yesterday and it snowed and if I had her outside right now in the 31 degree weather she would freeze to death. She does this on purpose I swear. She is very smug and happy in her box covered over.

I put love because of what an awesome chicken tender you are. But I am sorry she is molting so late.
