The light Brahmas are also beautiful but this dark and light pattern is just so striking that I chose them, such an amazing pattern, I hope my chicks are half as detailed as this gal, and I will be very pleasedThose are PENCILLED! See?View attachment 3401692
Oh yes I see now it's one of those Tabby Brahmas I have been hearing about with the fuzzy legs!
I am goodmissing my chooks but just checked them on the barn cam and they seem to be behaving!
I was reading about this breed earlier this evening. Absolutely beautiful and BIG and ohh so fluffy! Imagine the Fluffy Butt Friday pics you will have @PonypoorThose are PENCILLED! See?View attachment 3401692
I wish I had a coop cam and I am also simultaneously glad I do not. I go in every evening to do a head count and look them over and the arrangement I find them in changes nightly. The only constant is Oreo is always surrounded by the girls but which ones are closest change. I swear its like they take turns. I agree they are crazy!Nonsense
What are they doing! Aurora is in a neat box. Betty is on the far roost. Sydney is on the high roost. Hartir is where she always is, on the ground.
Thru are crazy.
I read they tend to lay more in the winter and slow in the summer, nifty adaptation for cold hardy breed. The light Brahmas are also beautiful but this dark and light pattern is just so striking that I chose them, such an amazing pattern, I hope my chicks are half as detailed as this gal, and I will be very pleased
And of course they lay a decent amt of eggs and are cold hardy - that was the clincher for me - cold hardy!
Yay for the egg, nay for the injuryFlash laid her first egg of the season. Noticed the trauma on my thumb cuticle. It took a rat snap trap.
