It ripped a hole in the roof of the coop. Dad went out this morning and bought a replacement one and we have already put it up. I blame myself. I noticed a few days ago that it was showing a weak spot and would need to be replaced. I should have went then and got a new one. Instead I thought it would be ok until the weekend when it is more convenient to make either a Rural King or Tractor Supply run.

You do a great job caring for all those chickens so have some compassion for yourself with this tragedy. You can’t know the future.

I also hatched 7 chicks from hades and EE mamas. They are so cute. They yell when they want food and water.

They are training you already!

Okay here’s the latest: Hannah was disappointed, but not surprised. She knows that I’m a very careful pilot.
She also mentioned that the time she spent as a Disney princess during college was annoying to her and giving her nightmares about her experiences . And asked if I could formulate a chicken poop scent. Any chemical biological people out there who can help? Yep, Hannah is just about as weird as I am. She wants to revenge her honor. I had to laugh at that

I’m wondering if I will be able to sleep tonight? The bird I hit, was a white feathered bird ( maybe a pigeon) or a Crane. The runway was supposed to be clear.

Seagull maybe? A pigeon and crane are very different in size though.

There wasn't anything you could do, and I am glad you were ok.

Seagull maybe? A pigeon and crane are very different in size though.

I saw a white flash on the port wing, I was concentrating on the landing gear and runway

I know how it feels, from hitting poor animals that run onto the road in front of our cars. Maybe mention it to the runway people for the future?
