Well she picked up the 4 girls and I gave her some fresh eggs from my flock. Nice lady and wants more I told her March 1st-3rd they will be hatching. She's replacing her daughters flock that got decimated by the neighbors dog. (That won't happen again). The Olive eggers are easy to sex by marking and legs. The silkies I can vent sex when they are a day old. I'm thinking I may just start selling fertile eggs.
I thought silkies can't or shouldn't be vent-sexed except by trained experts, it's risky for the chick.

When our friend’s wife found out what happened, she got very upset and basically said OMG, are we raising a serial killer?!? He replied that he didn’t think their son would get that bad, but they are taking the issue very seriously and trying to take steps to stop things from progressing any further.
That is good to hear.

The only time I ever cursed in front of my mom my dad put me over his knee and spanked me like I was 5. I was 15 and big for my age but that definitely brought me back to earth.
My Dad would have just knocked me out with 1 punch. No need to spank.

There has been studies on this in the last couple of decades. This child definitely needs help. More help than just ADHD meds. (I had/have ADHD, not diagnosed until well into adulthood, and I never, ever abused an animal - ADHD is not the cause - but may be a contributing factor in lack of control over those tendencies caused by other things) All the animals and people the child (now and in the future) comes in contact with will appreciate him getting sufficient help. I truly feel for these parents and their pets/chickens. No one can provide such constant supervision that he can't at some point 'sneak out'. I hope he (the child) can get treatment that is sufficient. :( :hugs :hugs :hugs :(

RIP, poor sweet BO girl! May you never have any more stress nor harassment, and may you be able to free range in lush pastures full of greens, insects/worms and free of predators.🥰🥰

What a lovely girl she was, thank you for sharing such a beautiful picture of her @TX Chick Noob :

You might like this article. Not scientific, but I found it informative none-the-less. (Note I have never owned Silkies!)

Tax:

My Buff Orpingtons have always been such sweet, gentle giants! I have a girl (will have to get a picture this weekend!) Whom I have named 'Marylin'. I have names her such because she is a 'blonde bombshell'. Truly gorgeous color, and such a heavy girl, she weights what I would think a bomb would!!!. I thought she was a 'he' at first because she was so big & heavy...and reddened up in the comb earlier than the others. She presently is heavier than ALL of my chickens except for Nappy (who is one heavy boy!) She weighs more than all of the other roos, never mind the other girls!

Since I', at work, I'm presenting general pictures of BOs. again, I will get pictures of my Sweet Marilyn this weekend to share!
