Soo, until about a hour ago I was not really sure just how serious Goose was going to be on going broody. Now I'm more hopeful, she has been on her nest pretty much all afternoon. Last night there were 3 eggs in the nest. I decided to test her, and see if she laid a egg today.
Before I lifted her up to do a egg count, I did get my first warning growl from her, very good sign. I've stroked her on the nest box before and stuck my hand under her with zero reactions.

Still only 3 eggs, another very good sign. If she was going to lay, she would have done it early this morning.

She bit my wrist while I was counting eggs, she has zero regrets and I am encouraged and not mad at her at all.

Now, these video's are dark, they are just for sound only. It would not surprise me to find her on the nest tonight still after everyone has went to roost. If so, that would make today day 1.

Very cute hope she decides to hatch them.

She either has them digging or starting to work on flying school.

Awwlll the marshmallow crew is growing up! So cute.

Finally let's combine Pony Sunday with what else, digging. Russ is perfectly content to have them in his stall.

Ok Goose is on the roost. It took her all day but she did lay that 4th egg. I really do think she is gearing up to sit as those eggs are taking longer to lay.

If you have the space, you could put a 'step/hop bar halfway up the pallet wall - extending out enough so she could fly-hop again to the top.

I really like my brahmas, too they are very sweet. However, they are more prone to predation, and the light brahams are the 'easy' ones to get here (and definitely less expensive), and their bright white makes them much more visible than many of my other chooks, so it just feels wrong to have a bunch of them. They are so sweet, though, that I just can't resist having a few. I am glad you got one as a surprise, so you get to enjoy her

I almost want to challenge myself and like everyones post on this thread but i think that would annoy people and be near impossible

Edit: I have lost motivation so will not be pursuing this quest.

Go ahead. Some other people do, and yes it’s annoying as H$@@.
