To be fair, I have always heard of these birds referred to as cowbirds around here. Plus as it was pointed out I had help naming her.

We also called them cowbirds.

Goats are escape artists, get a horse instead. Actually, get a mini horse and call it your 6th dog.

Forget all of those. just get a big cat!

Éowyn surprised the mailman the other day. She was laying in the sun in front of my car when the mailman arrived to deliver a package. It was really warm out and I had my office window open.
I hear the following....

Oh! Hello there.

I didn't see you there.

Oh my! You're not a dog.

Wow!

You're a big cat aren't you!

Well, I think this evening I am going to hopefully switch to plan Bunny. I have left gooses eggs alone, left her alone and it has not clicked and she is still only semi broody. As of last night there were 8 eggs in her nest. Bunny is full on broody. I do have a problem, she has chosen the main top of the hay. That unfortunately does not work for me pretty girl. I am going to go out there later and fix up a spot where I want her to sit and move Gooses eggs to it. Bunny currently has no eggs to sit on. I hope she will see those eggs and accept them and the new spot. Cross your fingers everyone. I have never tried to switch up a nest spot before, but, if Bunny wants chicks, she will have to accept it.

So one of my chooks laid 3 double yolkers. I turned 2 into deviled eggs it looks funny lol

Rizo Squats for Peep but no rooster has ever attempted mating her. It’s so sad! Poor lady squats for them and is basically begging to get a husband and none of them even look at her. Peep is a mating addict but has never even touched her.

It did the white stuff falling from the sky yesterday… but I got a whole lot of chicken things done before it hit, and it has all thankfully melted. I missed Caturday completely here but FB brought this up as a memory yesterday so. Whisper and Charlie, back in our house in the city. View attachment 3416369
