I watched as flash laid an egg on the porch step, and all the hens quickly gobbled it up. Then the feral cats licked the step clean!
I’m not happy about this

Holy cow! That is nuts! Have you ever seen this before? My gals will eat those soft eggs but never the regular hard shelled ones.

I need to finish the roosts in the Hen House tomorrow, first though I need to put up some protection on the walls. I bought some sheet vinyl that has a similar pattern to the poop boards I already have, I will continue this along the wall to protect from poopies.

Actually, gender roles in the animal kingdom, especially in some
species, are frequently more fluid than in humans.


Day started cold but definitely gorgeous in Central TX today.


Poor little dude. Give him a lower spot tonight, and keep up the TLC. Especially sugar/honey water and electrolytes. And YOU need to try to stay calm. When you are stressed that affects him too.

Hmmmm...I think Rose gave it a 9.7 out of 10. Well seasoned, undertones of piney notes, slightly acidic, rich intense flavor!
