Well, my sister's co-worker backed out on the chicks. I listed them about 8 last night and they left this morning. I thought about keeping 2 but cooler heads prevailed. I want silkies this year and I also have 2 broodies set. If I really want some silkies I could not keep these chicks as well.

Oi boy, people sometimes drive you nuts! Glad you were able to shift them so fast!

Yes if you want silkies this is true need to make space.

I had to drag everyone in, the snow has melted enough in the paddock alleyway that Misty and Buttercup decided they could make the 16’ flight across to the open ground - I think they went on BeakBook and saw Phyllis and her amazing flight - it gave them ideas.

To move them I asked 30 for all 12. They are taking the chance of getting boys as they are too young to sex right now. That is a little under 3 per chick. There was some pure Marans in there along with at least 5 known mixes. The person that took them also has bought chickens from me in the past which is why I made them that deal. When I listed them I had a few others message me about them and before they contacted me it was 4 per chick. Tonight I am deep cleaning and sterilizing the incubator. When they picked them up they inquired about if they got some eggs would I hatch them out if they took them when they hatched. We discussed it, came to a agreement and possibly if the eggs they want are found I will load it up for them in about a month.

Allergy testing is done and Rosie is home and first thing she did was run to grab her clariton. She is allergic to dust, some molds but the biggest ones are Trees. Highly reactive to 7 trees which are in full bloom at the moment and we are surrounded by. Negative on animals, grasses, and weeds.
