Its beautiful weather, nice and warm perfect time to have put the younger chicks outside. And they have heat at night if they need it. The babie silkies are doing great. I made sure everyone had food and water when I got up especially the babies,. My hubby feeds the older chooks but forgets about the younsters. I,ll wait till they are a good size to integrated them but they are with their daddy Hades and momas.

0ur rain will start at sunset and continue for the next 48 hours or so. Predicting around 3 inches throughout the remainder of the week. And we desperately need it.
Oh that sounds perfect! It's so soggy here, and cold - it's weird hearing all the rumbly thunder, but it's just not warm. It's only +5C (42F) brrrr! And we are under a lot of warnings and alerts :(

Oh boy we are about to get it now, thunder is getting closer! Think I will round up the chooks outside.
Oh they are already inside - smart!

Here are 10, and there are 3 in nest boxes; wow that is some thunder! I love a good thunderstorm. Here comes the rain again..... (Ooooo another great song!)

that's okay - it will be nice weather soon, so no worries about her driving to the casino to lose her hard earned money!
Yep that is what I say, the chicks are easy to care for: food, water, warmth, and lots of treats :)

I will need to be come home in June/July at some point to put up hay for a few days. I can always do a quick intro with the rest of the gang. And if I am lucky and can get a broody to take them all on all the better! Mum can let the broody raise them.

Thank you - perfect tax. I really love the yellow ear lobes - you just don't see that much - they are splendid (along with those wattles and comb :) )

And the first one - hahaha - "I want to break free...." (another great song :) )

I can only dream of warm weather - another month and it should be nicer. But we can still get snow in May here, it's always a guessing game with putting the cover on the gazebo! If we have snow or freezing rain it will break it, the one year we had snow in May I was out there scraping the snow of every couple hours
